a cow's butt

as if HEALTH and a CLEAR CONSCIENCE weren't enough reasons for me to go veg, now i find out there are huge environmental reasons, too:

we all know that global warming is a pretty big deal... but did you know that, along with a gripload of other negative effects farmed animals have on the environment, one that struck a cord with me was that they produce more greenhouse gas emissions (18%) (a.k.a their farts and poo... ya, i said it) than the world's ENTIRE TRANSPORT SYSTEM (13.5%)?! ...you kiddin' me.

and as if you really need ANOTHER reason: 16 pounds of grain and more than 5,000 gallons of water are needed to produce ONE SINGLE FREAKIN' POUND of meat. think of how many people that food and water could feed.

simply put, YOU TAKE CARE OF WHAT YOU LOVE: if you love and respect your own health, our planet earth, other human beings (just like you) on this planet, and animals (that should not be slaughtered and eaten if they don't NEED to, then maybe consider becoming vegetarian... or at least reduce your meat consumption. every little bit counts.

SHOW YOUR LOVE. CHANGE STARTS WITHIN.

I tried going veggy once. I should have realized that I hate cooking first, because unless you make all your own food it's a bitch. Luckily Mike Hadj was basically living on my couch and made food every night if I bought it. I would say that since that time I have found most cow and pig products to be nasty. I don't know if it's mental or physical, but I pretty much only eat birds or fish now.
