holga sweetness

in attempts to break away from my digital world that i spend waaaaay too much time in, i got myself a holga camera. i love this camera. of course it did take me about an hour to figure out how to load the film.

the pictures are more of a 'surprise!' than anything. and that is exactly what i like about it. you can't 'undo'. it does take a lot of trial and error (so they say) to really master the artistic capabilities of the camera but gosh darnit it's fun. these are from my first role that i took at the nixon library in yorba linda yesterday... oh, and one of SoHo... of course ;) the vintage look of the images gives it a very nostalgic feel - just what i've been looking for.

yet im such a hypocrite cuz as i'm telling the guy at the photo counter that i got this camera to take a vacation from my digital life, i ask him if he can include a CD of the pics so i can put them online... ha!
